Fotrose & Rosemakie
Golf Club - A true Scottish Links course set on a promontory jutting
out into the Moray Firth. Players will often see schools of bottle-nosed
dolphins just off shore by this Fifth Green.
The course is considered short but challenging and will provide a complete
golfing experience for both seasoned and casual golfers alike.
Terrain is flat and easy to walk. A full 18 hole round should not take
longer than 3 - 3.5 hrs. Fortrose is approximately 35 mins drive from
Invergordon.

This 18-hole, par 71 Links Course was founded in 1888
and expanded in 1930 by James Braid, who has created a unique links
set on a peninsula jutting out into the Moray Firth. This is a challenging
course with the character and charm found in few other courses in the
world. The course is surrounded on three sides by beach and water and
measures 5890yds. However, what it lacks in distance is more than made
up for by tight fairways, strategically placed bunkers and deceptive
greens.
As with any course, there are some outstanding holes.
The 4th is the signature hole which measures 455yds and is considered
one of the most challenging holes in Scotland. With water all around,
players may often be distracted by the blue-nosed dolphins which often
appear close to shore as if a spectator or put on a special performance
for those willing to watch.
