Travel a short distance to the marina at Dochgarroch and board your chartered vessel Eilidh Catriona where you will be welcomed with a dram of Highland Malt.

Once under way, enjoy a glass of champagne and listen to the commentary of a knowledgeable skipper. You will be able to relax and bask in the mystery of the Loch whilst heading for Urqhart Castle.

At a convenient point we will anchor or tie-up in order to enjoy an authentic Scottish buffet lunch before continuing your journey.

Moniack Castle Winery.

The Winery is a unique enterprise, situated seven miles from Inverness. The wines and preserves reflects the natural ingredients growing around the Castle. For centuries people have been making wines from wildflowers, fruits and tree sap. This tradition is carried on at Moniack.

This is Fraser country. Moniack Castle dates from 1580 and Frasers have lived there ever since. The business is run by the family, Philippa Fraser and her two sons, Rory and Kit, together with their friend Jonathan Garden

Reelig Glen and ‘Dugall Mor’

A short walk through the spectacular tall trees of this Forestry Commission wood which is effectively a wild natural garden. The Fraser family, who owned the land for 500 years, planted many species of trees in the early 1800s, many of them newly introduced to the UK at the time. Today many of them are amongst the tallest in the UK at over 200ft.

‘Dugall Mor’ was officially given the title of tallest tree in Britain in 2003 when the BBC measured this Douglas Fir at 210’ high.

The walk itself follows built paths and is ideal for families. Its sheltered location also makes it a good choice in any weather.

We head back via the historic towns of Beauly (reputedly named by Mary Queen of Scots) and Dingwall (birthplace of Macbeth and the ancient Viking Capital of Scotland.)

REMEMBER! You can choose alternative shore based tour should you wish!

This tour is guided throughout by a fully qualified HOSTGA tour guide. Most of the above attractions will not be visited by the larger coaches. Your tour will therefore be exclusive.
